Visitation will also be Sunday, October 23, 2016 from 2-8pm at Knoblock Funeral Home, 5720 N. Van Dyke Road, Kinde, MI 48445; 989-874-4022. Funeral Service will be on Monday, October 24, 2016 at 11am at Knoblock Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will follow in the Port Austin Township Cemetery.
Richard is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary. His four daughters; Richelle (Scott) Ranquist, Shannon Mostek and her special friend Randal Denam, Miranda Edler and Gabrielle (Matt) Kumlin. Nine grandchildren; Jasmyn Ranquist, Alexandra Mostek and her special friend Jacob Taylor, Zachary Mostek, MacKenzie Lesoski, Skyler Lesoski, Lacey Lesoski, Kaden Hirth, Eleanor Kumlin and Eevie Kumlin. One great-granddaughter, Koralyn Taylor. One brother, Gerald (Edwina) Griem and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death is a brother, Floyd Griem.
Richard Charles Griem, age 72, of Shelby Township, Michigan was called home on October 19, 2016. Son of the late Earl and Rose Griem. He was retired from Chrysler Mound Engine Plant where he was employed for over 30 years. Richard was a huge family man. Nothing was more important than his family. He also enjoyed working on his car and his retirement house in Port Austin. Richard served in the Army during the Vietnam war.
