Funeral Information

Services will be held Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 11am at the Bad Axe Free Methodist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Jerry Sutton. Burial will be in Colfax Cemetery. Friends may call at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe on Friday from 1-8pm or Saturday at the church from 10am until the service time at 11am.

Surviving is his wife Nancy Bursick of Bad Axe. 2 sons; Bill Rathje of Bad Axe, Gary (Susan) Rathje of Bad Axe. 3 daughters; Jenny (Ted) Wickman of Fort Walton Beach, FL. Kim (Jim) Hernandez of Fort Walton Beach, FL. and Melissa (Chris) Cook of Saginaw. Mother; Mary Bursick of Bad Axe. Mother in Law; Pauline Bucholz of Mayville. Father in Law; James (Burgi) hockmuth of Livonia. 2 brothers; Gene (Bobbi) Bursick of Woodlands, TX. Jim (Bev) Bursick of Grand Rapids. 2 sisters; Marie Humphrey of Bad Axe, Liz (Sam) Glasgow of Bad Axe. 18 grandchildren; Ryan, Heather, Madison, Paige, Zack, Natasha, Brittany, Genna, Michael, Chistine, Adam, Gary, Brandon, Hannah, Loren, Alexus, Logan and Sydney. 3 great grandchildren; Ayden, Nevaeh and Bentley. He was predeceased by; his father Cletus Bursick and 2 grandchildren; Brended and Jenny.

Biography

Robert C. Burdick, age 63, of Bad Axe, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Huron Medical Center of Bad Axe. He was born on March 3, 1950 in Bad Axe, the son of Cletus and Mary (Ligrow) Bursick. He married Nancy Hockmuth on February 25, 1978 in Elkton. Bob was a longtime employee at McDonald's Food and Family Center in Bad Axe. He was an avid Michigan State Spartan fan as well as the Ohio State Buckeyes.
