Funeral Information

The funeral service for Robert will be 12:00 noon, Wednesday, March 4 at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly. Rev. Robert Howe, pastor of St. Hubert Parish, will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Rapson in the spring. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:30-9:00 pm and Wednesday from 10:00 am until the service at 12:00 noon. Memorials have been requested to the Family Discretionary Fund. Family of the Deceased

Robert is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carol of Harbor Beach; four sons, Kelly and his wife, Shannon of Filion, Michael and his wife, Laurie, Bradley and his wife Karen, Robert Jr. and his wife, Shannion, all of Harbor Beach; 11 grandchildren, Trika & Cody, Michael Jr., Kyle & Jackie, Bradley Jr. and Shaun, Austin, Haley, Connor, Cody Miller; one brother, Donald Peyerk and his wife, Marilou of Filion; one sister, Lorraine Murawski and her husband, Bernard of Rochester; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Peyerk of Bad Axe; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer and Leonard Peyerk, one sister-in-law, Rosalie Peyerk.

Biography

Mr. Robert F. Peyerk, 73 of Harbor Beach, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe after a short illness. He was born on June 14, 1941 in Harbor Beach to the late Raymond and Clara (Smarch) Peyerk. He married Carol Kranz on January 8, 1966 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Roseville. Robert attended the Swazie School and Harbor Beach High School. He farmed most of his life and also did some road construction work. Robert was a lifelong parishioner at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rapson. He was also one of the original members of the Rapson Sportsman Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing euchre and taking trips to the casinos. Robert truly loved his sons, their wives and his grandchildren.
