Ronald is survived by his wife of 60 years-Sally Smith of Bad Axe. 1 son-Larry (Sharon) Smith of Bad Axe. 1 brother-Jerry (Nancy) Smith of Bay City. 1 brother-in-law-Ed Jandereski of Tiffin, OH. 4 grandchildren-Lisa Robinson of Port Austin, Ryan Smith of Armada, Sierra Smith of Bad Axe and Dylan Smith of Bad Axe. 5 great-grandchildren-Paige Robinson (fiancé Jarrod Emerick) of Bad Axe, Gabrielle Robinson of Bad Axe, Lamarion Robinson of Port Austin, Rylee Robinson of Port Austin and Brody Smith of Armada. 1 great-great-grandchild-Carter Emerick of Bad Axe. Ronald was preceded in death by- mother and father in law-Robert and Margaret Burley. 1 daughter-Karen Smith. 1 sister-in-law-Betty Jandereski. 1 sister-Elaine. We would like to give a special thanks for the care he received while at Courtney Manor.
Ronald Smith, age 80, of Bad Axe, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe with his family by his side. Ronald was born in Bad Axe on November 13, 1936, son of the late Fred and Regina (Snider) Smith. He married Sally Burley on May 26, 1956 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Bad Axe. Ron enjoyed casino trips, hunting, fishing, wood working, spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren play sports. Ron retired from Tower Automotive in 2002.
