Funeral Information

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday April 18, 2014 at 7pm at the Knoblock Funeral Home in Kinde. There will be Visitation from 3pm until the service at 7pm at the funeral home.

Family of the Deceased

Shane is survived by his parents Mark and Clarice Pettit of Rochester Hills; his brother, Donovan Pettit of Port Huron; his maternal grandparents, Alfred and Ruth Ellen (Shaddock) Jandreski of Port Austin. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, David (Theresa) Jandreski of Port Austin, Donna (Larry) Strozeski of Port Austin, Faye (Ken) Kent of Boston, Shirley (Rick) Poisson of Bradenton, FL, Denise Sosnoski of Johnson City, TN, Marlene Jobe of Port Austin, Sharon Sosnoski of Arvada, CO, George (Joanne) Pettit of Port Austin, Kevin Pettit of Xenia, OH, Michael (Faye) Sosnoski of Anaheim Hills, CA, Kirk Pettit of Farmington, Mary (Gary) Gillis of Englewood, CO, Mark (Charlotte) Sosnoski of Port Austin, and Dierdre (Harold) Turnbloom of Spring Valley, OH; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Dolly Sosnoski, Harold Sosnoski, and Donald Pettit.

Biography

Shane A. Pettit, 22, of Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, died Friday, April 11, 2014. He was born on September 23, 1991 in Rochester Hills, son of Mark and Clarice (Jandreski) Pettit. Shane graduated from Lake Orion High School in 2010. He attended Oakland Community College. Shane entered the United States Air Force in February of 2012 and served his entire enlistment at Andrews Air Force Base working in telecommunications.
