Mass of Christian burial will be 11 am on Friday, July 14, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church/St. Hubert Parish with Deacon Jene Baughman officiating. Burial will take place at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at the MacAlpine Funeral Home and at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service. She is survived by her husband, James Rogers of Bad Axe; her sons: Jimmy Rogers of Port Hope and Steven Hurley and his wife, Megan, of Bad Axe; grandchildren: Mason, Hudson, Sheridan, and Gibson Hurley; her brothers: Lewis Jewett and his wife, Angela, of Cornelius, North Carolina, Michael Jewett and his wife, Lori of Canton, John Jewett of Marlette, Bob Jewett of Port Huron, and Mark Jewett and his wife, Rachel, of Port Huron; her sister, Dawn Genova and her husband, Andy, of Port Huron and many nieces and nephews.

Biography

Our beautiful, loving wife and mother, Shelley M. Rogers, 56, of Bad Axe, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2017 at Courtney Manor under hospice care. Shelley was born in Grosse Pointe Farms on February 9, 1961 to Rose M. (Cipponeri) and the late Robert Jewett. She graduated from Croswell High School in 1979. On July 11, 1992, she married James R. Rogers at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church in Harbor Beach. Shelley was a beautiful person inside and out. She loved her children & grandchildren and was a very giving person.
