Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 am Monday, June 18 at St. Mary Catholic Church, St. Isidore Parish in Parisville. Rev. Todd Arnberg, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly on Sunday from 2:30-8:00 pm and Monday at St. Mary Church from 10:-10:45 am. There will be a Rosary Sunday at 4:00 pm by the St. Isidore Rosary Sodality. Memorials have been requested to the Family Discretionary Fund. Stella is survived by two sons, Leo and his wife, Shirley of White Lake, George and his wife, Edna of Ubly; one daughter, Rose Belleville and her husband, Larry of Harbor Beach; 17 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; four step grandchildren; one son-in-law, Marvin Volmering of Ruth; four sisters, Lucille Niemi of Essexville, Lauretta Gusa, Leona Mausolf and Marlene Mausolf, all of Harbor Beach; four brothers, Jerome Booms of Essexville, Harold and Clara Booms of Royal Oak, Leo Booms of Warren, Irvin and Marlene Booms of Oscoda. She was preceded in death by two grandsons, one granddaughter; one daughter, Mary Volmering; one brother, Lavern Booms and his wife, Lucille; four brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law.
Mrs. Stella A. Lemanski, 96 of Ubly passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018 at the Huron Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe. She was born on March 11, 1922 in Ruth to the late Edward and Cecelia (Kirsch) Booms. She married Leo Lemanski on November 19, 1940 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Ruth. He preceded her in death on September 24, 2002. Stella was a graduate of the Pumpkin Country School. She worked on the family farm and lived in Minden City. After marrying Leo, they moved to Ubly and farmed together. She was a parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church of St. Isidore Parish in Parisville where she was a former member of the St. Mary Rosary Sodality and worked for the annual church picnic. Stella enjoyed playing cards, needlework and visiting with her loving family.
