Services will be held on Friday, October 24, 2014 at 11 am. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church-St. Hubert Parish. Officiating will be Fr. Rob Howe, pastor. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe on Thursday from 3-8 pm. or Friday at the church from 10 am. until the service time at 11 am. A scripture service will be offered on Thursday at 7 pm. At the funeral home.

Survived by: Husband-Darrin Deering of Bad Axe, 1 daughter-Emily Deering and her boyfriend, Joe Elledge of Cass City. Mother-Dorothy Braden of Bad Axe. Mother-in-law-Doris Deering of Owendale. 1 sister-Sandra (Ray) Kinney of Bad Axe. 2 brothers-Daniel (Roxanne) Braden of Bad Axe. Bradley Braden and friend Mary Ann of Bad Axe. 1 brother-in-law-Dean Deering of Owendale. Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. Predeceased by: her father-Russell Braden.

Biography

Susan Kay Deering, age 51, of Bad Axe, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2014 at her home. She was born on October 1, 1963 in Bad Axe, daughter of Russell and Dorothy (Weber) Braden. She married Darrin Deering on August 1, 1987 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Sue was an avid worker with an employment record which includes: Braden Oil Company, Thumb Plastics-Regency, Leonard’s A & W, Franklin Inn, the Pilot House in Port Huron, the Huron Daily Tribune, Courtney Manor, Braden Tire & Service, and the Shoe Department. She enjoyed the beach, cross country, skiing, and spending time with her family and many friends who she has touched along the way with her sincere and giving spirit.
