Funeral Information

Funeral for Sylvester Lasceski will be at 11:00 am Friday, January 20, 2017, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of the Annunciation of The Lord Parish in Dwight. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00pm and on Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 at the Knoblock Funeral Home in Kinde. There will be a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 6:30 on Thursday evening at the funeral home and a Parish vigil at 7:00 pm. Cremation will follow.

Family of the Deceased

Sylvester is survived by his wife, Gloria his children: Allen (Kim) Lasceski, Gregory (Nancy) Lasceski, Annette (Mark) Gallagher, Danny Jo (Sheila) Lasceski; his grandchildren: Jason, Chad, Alex, Austin; one great grandchild Ryan and his step-grandchildren; Tim, Mark, Paula, and Izzy. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters; Irene (Homer) Wilson, Marie (and the late Bob) Lemanski, Dave (Genevieve) Lasceski, Frank (Marie) Lasceski, Theresa (Leonard) Horetski. He was preceded in death by his brother Leonard Lasceski.

Biography

Sylvester E. Lasceski, 81, of Kinde died Monday, January 16, 2017 at McLaren Bay Medical in Bay City. He was born April 18, 1935, the son of the late Edward and Gertrude (Ventline) Lasceski. He and Gloria Koroleski were married on June 6, 1959 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dwight Township. Sylvester worked for Ben Ignash while he was in high school. After graduating he worked at Remke and Lanzen. He then formed his own company, Sylvester Inc., from which he retired in 2002. At that time he returned to Kinde from Center Line. He loved playing cards, working in the garden, going to the casino and he especially loved his family. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of the Annunciation of The Lord Parish and the Knights of Columbus Council # 1546, Bad Axe, Michigan.
