Funeral Information

Funeral mass for Teresa Block will be held Wednesday at 1:00 PM in the Sacred Heart Church / St. Hubert Parish in Bad Axe. Funeral will be at the St. Peter & Paul Cemetery. Friends may call the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly. Visitation is Tuesday September 2, 2014 from 2:30 PM till 9:00PM. Christian Mothers Rosary is Tuesday at 4:00 PM. Wednesday visitation only at Sacred Heart Church from noon till 1:00 PM. Mass time memorial to donors choice.

Family of the Deceased

Teresa is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Wilfred Block of Bad Axe; one son, Michael Block and his wife, Renee of Ruth; one grandson, Derek Block of Bad Axe and his close personal friend, Zachary Proctor; one brother-in-law, Jim Block of Harbor Beach. She was preceded in death by her 3 sisters, Pearl Smith, Opal Rowbaghan and Geraldine McPhail; three brothers, Emmit, John and Arle Anglebrant.

Biography

She was born on March 5, 1936 in Argyle to the late Neil and Francee (Hunter) Anglebrant. She married Wilfred R. Block on June 21, 1958 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Argyle. Teresa was a graduate of Sandusky High School. She and her husband resided in Ruth until they moved to Bad Axe in 2007. She had an affinity for baking, crafting and decorating. She was a fun loving woman who enjoyed laughing with friends and family. Teresa was a loving wife, mother and grandmother whose heart could warm the coldest days. Now, she is off to a new home and will be greatly missed.
