Thomas is survived by Peggy Ahearn of Bad Axe, his children: Cheryl (Dan) Ziegelmann of Santa Fe, Texas; Ann Ahearn (special friend Jason Schultz) of Bad Axe; Thomas Ahearn (special friend Jessica Volmering) of Ubly and Mary (Brandon) Richmond of Kinde; grandchildren: Kiley, Logan, Cory, Kylee and another grandchild due in May; brothers Frank (Linda) Ahearn of Bad Axe and Brian (Eileen) Ahearn of Warren; sisters Kay (Ricardo) Barreda of Duncanville, Texas, Mary (Leroy) Havens of Croswell and Marlene Corl of Ravenwood, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Danny, John and Bob Ahearn and a sister, Bridget Lancaster.

Biography

Thomas Michael Ahearn, 66, of Bad Axe, passed away on November 26, 2015 at his home. Tom was born in Bad Axe to the late Thomas and Mary Ann (Shine) Ahearn on February 4, 1949. Tom served in the U.S. Navy until 1971 following his graduation from Bad Axe High School. He worked as a journeyman electrician until his retirement from Tower Automotive. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, and western movies. He spent a great deal of time outside enjoying nature and was happiest when surrounded by his family. Tom also enjoyed riding his motorcycles. He was greatly loved, intelligent, a wealth of knowledge to his children and always encouraging his children.
