Funeral services will be 1 PM Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Fenton, Michigan. Visitation will be held 12 PM until the time of service Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to American Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Association. She leaves behind: her son, Ronald Craig (Aletha) Moody; granddaughters, Lisa Moody (Sven) Oltmanns, Andrea Rae (Jason) Hall, Aletha Marie (Isaac) Rodriguez; grandson, Aaron Thomas (Madison) Moody; great-grandchildren, Anthony William Hall, Cole Davis Hall, Rachel Madison Hall, and Juliet Rose Rodriguez. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Clayton and Margaret; husband, Evert; and beloved brother, Junior, aged 21.

Biography

MOODY, Virginia Lucille - Age 91, of Fenton, Michigan, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2017. Virginia was born March 25, 1926 in Bucyrus, Ohio, the daughter of Clayton Edward and Margaret Anna (Schindler) Hauck. She graduated from high school in Willard, Ohio. Virginia worked as a secretary before marrying World War II veteran Evert Leroy Moody in Detroit, Michigan on September 7, 1946. They were married 47 years, until Evert passed away. They raised one son, Ronald Craig Moody, currently residing in Mayville, Michigan. Virginia loved studying her Bible, spoiling her pets, and homemaking. She was a two-time breast cancer survivor. Virginia spent the last years of her life in Fenton, Michigan, where she met many caring people. She previously resided in southeast Michigan; Dewey, Arizona; and Mayville, Michigan. Virginia made many close friends throughout her lifetime. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
