Funeral Services for Willet will be Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 11 am at St. John Lutheran Church with Rev. Greg Eilers officiating. Burial will follow in Marquardt Cemetery. Visitation for Willet will be Monday, April 1, 2013 from 1-9pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Visitation on Tuesday will begin at the church beginning at 10am until time of services at 11 am.

Willet is survived by his wife Joyce Friedland of Port Hope, sister Dorothy Woychowski of Harbor Beach and brothers-in-law Les Brandow and Ed Burkhard. He was preceded in death by two sons: Anthony Friedland and James Friedland, brother Milton Friedland, and sisters: Grace Burkhard, Margarete Brandow,and Betty Tageson.

Biography

WILLET O. FRIEDLAND, age 76 of Port Hope, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Huron Medical Center of Bad Axe. Willet was born on May 23, 1936 in Port Hope to the late Otto and Agnes (Hartz) Friedland. He and Joyce Green were united in marriage on November 1, 1958 in Port Hope. Willet worked for McEachin Excavating in Deckerville for 23 years, he also worked in Construction and Unell Manufacturing. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, and loved riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. You never saw Willet without a smile on his face!
