Funeral Information

Per Bill’s wishes, cremation has taken place at Sunset Valley Crematory in Bay City. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Our Savior Lutheran Church with Rev. Kenneth Lueke officiating. Family and friends may gather at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service. Memorials may be offered to the family discretionary fund. Bill is survived by his wife of 39 years, Grace Baker of Bad Axe; his children: Corinne (Steve) Yasenchak, Daphne Baker and Traci Baker; his step-children: Robert (Debbie) Craig, Arthur Benz, and Barbara Wojt; nine grandchildren: Ryan, Dayna, Emma, Ian, Nicole, Mariah, and Hayleigh; step-grandchildren: Ashley and Stephen. He is also survived by his brothers: Richard (Sandra) Baker and Charles (Karen) Baker; his sisters: Patricia Baker and Evelyn Vogt; along with many nieces and nephews.

Biography

William Henry Baker, 81, of Bad Axe, passed away on June 7, 2019 at his home. Bill was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 23, 1938 to the late Wade and Lydia (Meyer) Baker. On July 19, 1980, he married Grace McCarren in Bad Axe. Bill was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Bad Axe. He enjoyed conversations with everyone and delivering papers. Bill’s greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren.
