Weight restrictions start Saturday on Huron County roads

    Later this week, seasonal weight restrictions will be imposed on roads under the jurisdiction of the Huron County Road Commission. The weight restrictions will take effect at 7am, this Saturday, February 27th. The restrictions mean that trucks will have to reduce the normal gross weight by 35 percent on all county roads, except those designated as a "Class A" road or any road that is part of the state trunkline, such as M-53, M-25 and M-142.   As frost starts to come out of the ground the roads can become more susceptible to damage.
