The second defendant in the reported robbery at the Advance America-Cash Advance buisiness in Bad Axe late last month was arraigned Wednesday afternoon in District Court before the court Magistrate.   37 year old Krista Maria Cranston of Bad Axe was charged like her co-defendant with 3 felonies, embezzlement of 50 to 100 thousand dollars, filing a false police report and larceny in a building. The first charge is a 15 year felony, while the other two have a four year maximum. Her 5000 dollar - ten percent bond was continued with a probable cause hearing on November 21, and her preliminary examination the following day. Her co-defendant Kayla Marie Orchard of Bad Axe was arraigned on identical charges on Tuesday afternoon. At her hearing during discussion on bond, Huron County Prosecutor described the alleged offenses as embezzling funds from the firm and trying to use the reported robbery to cover it up.
