During Tuesday's election, one of Cass City's ballot requests was voted down and two were approved.
The request for a 1 mill increase for four years to support the village's police department failed with 327 no votes to 291 yes votes.
The request was made due to increasing operational expenses for the police department.
The request to levy 1 mill for six years to fund the village's parks and recreation department to help cover increases in operational expenses was approved with 330 yes votes to 287 no votes.
The millage will generate about $74,907 the first year.
Rawson Memorial Library's request for millage seems to have been approved with 965 yes votes to 570 no votes in Tuscola County, but the library's coverage area extends into another county.
The ballot request that was approved was not to exceed .35 mill for four years.
Of that amount .3455 mill is a renewal of the previous millage that was reduced because of the Headlee rollback.
The millage is expected to generate about $80,000.
Election results are unofficial until they are verified by the board of canvassers.
