All of the requests for funding during Tuesday's election for school district's in the Thumb area seems to have passed.

The Kingston Community School District's Board of Education asked voters to renew 15.4488 mills for seven years to be able to levy the full statutory operating millage rate of 18 mills that had been reduced by the Headlee rollback.

The millage is levied on all property except for a person's primary residence and other properties that are exempt by law.

In Tuscola County, that millage request seems to have been approved with 471 yes votes to 376 no votes.

Although the Kingston School District is primarily in Tuscola County, it also extends into Lapeer County. The election results in Lapeer were not available.

The millage will generate about $610,000 the first year.

The Marlette Community School District asked voters to approve a $14 million bond proposal for 22 years, which works out to be about 2.15 mills, that was approved with 737 yes votes to 659 no votes.

Although the Marlette School District is primarily in Sanilac County, it extends into Tuscola County where it failed with 81 no votes to 69 yes votes, but overall it seems the millage was approved.

The Carsonville - Port Sanilac School District's request for an additional 2 mills to be able to levy 18-mill non-homestead operating millage seems to have passed with 620 yes votes to 407 no votes.

Election results are unofficial until they are verified by the board of canvassers.
