Meeting designed to promote food industry business contacts

A gathering is designed to bring together farmers, processors, grocers and other sectors of the agriculture industry to promote business contacts. The Pure Michigan Agriculture Summit will take place Wednesday at the Radisson Hotel in Kalamazoo. It's hosted by Pure Michigan Business Connect and the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. Organizers say the intent is to boost the food processing industry and create jobs. Among speakers at the event will be deputy agriculture director Gordon Wenk and Jack Aronson, President of Great Fresh Foods and Clean Planet Foods.
