A LOT OF HURON COUNTY RESIDENTS WON'T LET WINTER WEATHER STAND IN THE WAY OF A GOOD PICNIC. IN FACT, THEY USE IT AS A REASON TO HAVE A PICNIC IN FLORIDA.
A TOTAL OF 219 LOCAL RESIDENTS ATTENDED THE 53RD ANNUAL HURON COUNTY PICNIC JANUARY 26 AT SUN-N-FUN RESORT IN SARASOTA, FL.
KATHRYN MAY WALDRON,93, WAS AWARDED A $50.00 BILL FOR BEING THE OLDEST GUEST. HILDA AND ED DETGEN RETAINED THE TITLE OF LONGEST MARRIED GUESTS AT 66 YEARS AND KAREN NYE SPLIT THE YOUNGEST GUEST HONORS WITH MARY PARTY.
DURING A BRIEF BUSINESS SESSION FOR OFFICER ELECTIONS, JOHN HUNT WAS REELECTED PRESIDENT. HAROLD COOK IS VICE-PRESIDENT AND JOYCE KIEHL IS SECRETARY TREASURER.
