ONCE APPROVED THE EXEMPTION WILL APPLY FOR ONE YEAR AND MUST BE RENEWED AT THE END OF THAT YEAR.    FOR THIS YEAR, BECAUSE IT IS A NEW LAW THE EXEMPTION WILL APPLY RETROACTIVELY FOR THE 2013 SEASONS, OFFERING DISABLED VETERANS A REFUND ON THEIR PROPERTY TAXES FROM EARLIER THIS YEAR. WLEW IS AWAITING A RETURN CALL FROM THE STATE TAX COMMISSION TO CONFIRM WHERE THE REFUNDED MONEY WILL COME FROM.   YOUNG SAYS EACH TOWNSHIP AND MUNICIPALITY TAXATION BOARD OF REVIEW MEETS AT DIFFERENT TIMES SO HE STRESSES THE IMPORTANCE FOR THE VETERANS TO APPLY FOR THEIR AFFIDAVIT BEFORE DECEMBER BEGINS.
