Family of the Deceased

Butch is survived by daughters’ Sherrie (Steve) Lalonde, Terri Ney; sons Ronald (Stormi) Ney, Michael Ney and his baby sister Sharon Ney. Butch was blessed with 17 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Butch also had many loved nieces and nephews, great, great-great and great-great-great nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Butch was preceded in death by his wife Patricia, infant son Donald James; brothers James, George and Michael; sister Eileen Fabyan, twin sister Donna Schenk and Joyce Marie Ney.

Biography

Donald “Butch” Ney 89 years of age of Bad Axe, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at his daughter and son in laws home with his family by his side. Donald was born on March 13, 1937 in Filion to the late George and Susan (Holz) Ney. He married Patricia Simons on August 9, 1958 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe. They raised 4 children together and were married for 65 years before she passed away in 2023. Butch was an avid hunter, fisherman and shuffle board player. He could also often be seen playing Bingo.
