Jack Lewis Bursick's Case Moves From District Court To Circuit Court

In court today, Jack Lewis Bursick waived his right to a preliminary examination, moving his felony case directly to circuit court.

Bursick faces charges of absconding or forfeiting bond, along with an existing larceny in a building charge.

The prosecution offered a package deal: Bursick's waiver and a guilty plea at circuit court arraignment means prosecutors will not seek consecutive sentencing.

The judge confirmed Bursick's waiver was knowing and voluntary, and his bond will continue.

Bursick is now scheduled for circuit court arraignment on Monday, March 9th, at 9 a.m.
