Bad Axe Police Called To Crash At East Huron Ave. And Allen Street

Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of East Huron Avenue and Allen Street.
According to the crash report, one vehicle was traveling east on East Huron Avenue from Allen Street, while the second vehicle was heading north and attempting to turn onto East Huron from Allen.
The northbound driver told officers a large red truck parked on the corner of Allen Street and East Huron Avenue blocked her view of oncoming traffic. The eastbound driver stated he did not see the other vehicle until it had already pulled into the roadway. He also reported he was unable to stop because of soft, snow-covered road conditions.
The driver of the northbound vehicle, a 55 year old woman, complained of head pain and was transported by Huron Central EMS to McLaren Thumb Regional Hospital for treatment. The eastbound driver, a 57 year old man, was not reported injured.
One vehicle was towed from the scene by a local towing company, while the other was able to be cleared from the roadway and removed by a private party.
The crash remains under investigation.
