Huron County Road Commission Advise Drivers Of Filion Road Work June 2nd-12th

Drivers in central Huron County will encounter a temporary road closure beginning this week as maintenance work gets underway on the Filion Road bridge spanning the Taft Drain.
According to the Huron County Road Commission, crews are scheduled to start work Tuesday, June 2, with the project expected to continue through June 12, weather permitting. The maintenance effort includes waterproofing the bridge deck and applying a new asphalt surface.
During construction, Filion Road will be closed to through traffic between McMillan Road and Thomas Road. A signed detour will route vehicles along McMillan Road, Crown Road, and M-53.
Road officials say access for local residents will remain available throughout the project. Motorists traveling in the area are encouraged to allow extra time and follow posted detour routes while crews complete the bridge improvements.
The schedule remains subject to weather conditions and could change if necessary.
