Services will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe. Interment will be in Colfax Cemetery in Bad Axe. Friends may call at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe on Monday from 1 – 8 p.m. or Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the service time at 11 a.m. Memorials may be offered to the Adalyn Rorabacher Education Fund

In-laws- Geri and Marcia Smith of Bad Axe, MI. Paternal grandmother – Doris Rorabacher of Plymouth, MI. 2 nieces – Marina and Lily. 2 brothers-law – Matthew Smith of Bad Axe, MI. Adam Smith of Bad Axe, MI. Several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Predeceased by : maternal grandparents – Louis and Marcella Mallette. Paternal grandfather – Herbert Rorabacher.

Biography

Benjamin R. Rorabacher, age 33 of Saginaw Township, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2014 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on October 31, 1980 in Livonia, MI. He married Tara Smith on September 18, 2010 in Midland, MI. Ben was a member of the Churchill High School Class of 1999. He attended Schoolcraft College where he received an Associates degree in Culinary Arts. He enjoyed cooking and was the executive chef at the Saginaw Club. He was also a member of the American Culinary Federation. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He loved sports, especially the Detroit Tigers. Spending time with his family and friends was very important to Ben, especially being with his loving daughter, Adalyn.
