Funeral Information

Services will be held on Monday, October 8, 2018 at 11 am. at the Bad Axe First United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Phil Tousley, pastor. Entombment will be in the Colfax Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe on Sunday from 1 – 8 pm or Monday at the church from 10 am. until the service time at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the United Methodist Church Roof Fund or the Bad Axe Historical Society. Linda (Darrell) Jury of Bad Axe. 8 grandchildren – Ryan (Jolyn) Respondek of Bad Axe, Shannon (Lyn) Tetreau of Bad Axe, Sheree (Walter) Boone of Bad Axe, Heather (Randy) Cady of Belleaire, MI, Cory (Karen) Willett of Ypsilanti, Tara (Pat) Hoeksema of New Hudson, MI, Michelle (Jeff) Pollinger of Alden, NY., and Jody (Becky) Ligrow of Hubertus, WI. 31 Great-grandchildren. 3 Great-great-grandchildren. Clifford was preceded in death by 1 daughter-Bonnie Ligrow. 1 brother-Elwin Willett. 1 sister-Verna Campbell. 1 grandson-Jacob Respondek. 1 great grandson – Isaac Willett.

Biography

Clifford Willett, age 95, of Bad Axe passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018 under hospice care, surrounded by his family. He was born on October 14, 1922 in Bad Axe, son of the late William and Percie (Linton) Willett. He married Jean Chamberlain. She preceded him in death in 1994. He was president of Bad Axe Historical Society. He was also active in the Audubon Society, Genealogy Club, various groups at the United Methodist Church in Bad Axe. He was also a fireman for many years. He enjoyed farming, fishing, hunting, gardening, camping and especially time with his family.
