David is survived by his wife, Patti, and his two sons, David (Katie) Batzer, and Peter (Karen) Batzer. His five grandchildren, Victoria (Kelly) Durr, Clare Batzer, Craig Batzer, Brian Batzer and Andrew Batzer (fiancée Kayla Rothe). Sister, Ruth Ann (Ken) Peppers and brother-in-law, E.H. Brooks-Fisher. He was proceeded in death in his sister Marjorie Fisher.
David C. Batzer, age 82, of Bad Axe passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022 at his home. He was born on December 27, 1939 in Manistee, MI son of the late Herman and Lucille Batzer. He married C. Patricia Ohst on July 8, 1961. David was a 1957 graduate of Manistee High School. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in 1961 and his Master’s Degree in 1968, both from Central Michigan University. David worked for 36 years in education as a teacher and guidance counselor in several school districts including Reed City, Ludington, Port Alberni, B.C., Deckerville and Bad Axe. He was a member of the Bad Axe Free Methodist Church where he was involved with teaching Bible studies and singing with the Worship Team. He was involved in many local organizations, including Huron County Community Foundation, CAN Council and the Bad Axe Board of Review as well as serving as an election inspector. David is looking forward to spending eternity with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
