Mass of Christian burial will be 11 am Saturday, August 10 at Good Shepherd Parish, St. John Church in Ubly. Rev. Charles Hammond, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in the St. John Cemetery in Ubly. Visitation will be at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly on Friday from 2:30-9:00 pm and Saturday from 10:00-11:00 am at St. John Church. There will be a parish vigil service Friday evening at 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorials have been requested to the Family Discretionary Fund. Delores is survived by one daughter, Debbie Marks and her husband, Russell of Ubly, one son, Dan Ulfig of Ubly; seven grandchildren, Ryan (Katie) Marks of Alma, Russell (Charisse) Marks Jr. of Ariz., Amanda Marks and her significant other, Jeff Taylor, Alyssa Marks, Vanessa Ulfig, Kelsey Ulfig, and Madeline Ulfig, all of Ubly; three great grandchildren Isiah, Ayden and Gabriel Marks; two brothers, Joseph and Ronald Skipinski, both of Ubly one sister, Bernice Becker and her husband, Armen of Ubly. She was preceded in death by one sister, Eleanor Koss and one brother, Elmer Skipinski.
Delores A. Ulfig, 84 life long resident of Ubly, passed away August 6, 2013 at the Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe. She was born on July 17, 1929 in Bad Axe to the late Edward and Agnes (Dropiewski) Skrzypinski. She married Clarence Ulfig in 1956 at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church in Harbor Beach. He preceded her in death on November 15, 1991. Delores attended Ubly High School. She was employed at different restaurants in the area. She also worked at Mill End and then Walmart for years before retiring in 1996. She was a parishioner at St. John Catholic Church in Ubly. Delores enjoyed cooking, bingo and game shows. She cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
