A funeral service will be at 11:00am Saturday, December 3rd at the Caseville United Methodist Church with Rev. Linda Fuller officiating. Visitation will be 2-8 Friday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville and one hour prior to the service on Saturday in church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Caseville United Methodist Church. Condolences may be shared at www.cfcCaseville.com

He is survived by his wife Barbara; daughters Donna (Bob) Aul of Romeo, Deborah Kadlec of Shelby Twp, Becky (Sydney Nichols) of England, Lori (Bruce Struble) Babisz of Florida, and Nancy Hearold of Rochester; daughter-in-law Sandy Hopp of Romeo; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; and sister Diane Bott of St. Clair Shores. He was preceded in death by his son Dennis, grandson Adam Russell and brother Robert.

Biography

Donald E. Stevenson, 87, of Caseville, died Monday, November 28, 2016 at his home under hospice care. Don was born May 29, 1929 in Detroit to the late Ira Vincent and Lorraine (Wells) Stevenson. He graduated from Detroit’s Southeastern High School in 1948. He was a veteran of the US Army. Having known Barbara Walker since they were 11 years old, and having dated since they were 16, they were married on November 17, 1951. Don retired from Alfran Inc. in Roseville in 1990 as a superintendent of a tool and die factory. In 1994 he moved from Romeo to Caseville permanently. He was a member of the Caseville United Methodist Church and the Caseville American Legion; and a former member of the Caseville Eagles and Romeo Elks. He was a craftsman in woodworking and he loved baseball, having been a talented pitcher in earlier years.
