Funeral Services for Doug will be Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 1pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Burial will follow in Rock Falls Cemetery. Visitation for Doug will be on Tuesday, from 3-8pm at the funeral home, and on Wednesday beginning at 12 noon until 1 pm. Memories can be shared at www.RamseyFH.com The Family wishes to thank McLaren Thumb Region for all of the wonderful care Doug received. Memorials may be given to the Family Discretionary Fund.

Doug is survived by his wife Sylvia Cooper of Bad Axe, his sons: Douglas, Todd, Matthew and Jeremy and special friend Jessica, grandchildren: Amber & Jason, Anne, Shane, Devin, Benjamin, Sarah, Jordyn, Bailee, Danica, great grandchildren: Landon, Laykyn, and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Michael David, brothers: Burton, Gordon & Adrian Cooper, sister: Vivian Cooper Banker and his in-laws: Herbert & Ida Schave.

Biography

DOUGLAS D. COOPER, age 76 of Bad Axe, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018 at McLaren Thumb Region in Bad Axe, following a long illness. Doug was born on December 6, 1941 in Harbor Beach to the late Leon and Myrtle (Morgan) Cooper. He and Sylvia Schave were united in marriage on February 8, 1964 in Port Hope. He retired from Tower Automotive after 42 years of employment. Doug enjoyed visiting with friends and family, spending time with his grandchildren, talking about cars and going to car shows.
