A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church - St. Hubert Parish in Bad Axe. Officiating will be Fr. Rob Howe, pastor. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe on Friday from 1:00 - *:00 p.m. or Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the service time from 11:00 a.m. A scripture service will be offered on Friday at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Eileen is survived by: 2 sons; Robert Fabyan of Oscoda, and Peter Fabyan of Bad Axe. 4 daughters; Patricia (Gary) Krug of Bad Axe, Linda (Ralph) Brakenberry of Pigeon, Pam (Larry) Maurer of Bad Axe, Mary (Michael) Thurshman of Bad Axe. 1 daughter-in-law; Sandy Fabyan of Grove City, OH. 2 brothers; James (Darlene) Ney of Baudetta, MN, and Donald "Butch" (Patricia) Ney of Bad Axe. 2 sisters; Donna (Gerald) Schenk of Vassar, Sharon Ney of Port Austin. 22 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by: 1 son; Stephen Charles Fabyan. 2 brothers; George Ney Jr, and Michael Ney. 1 sister; Joyce Marie Ney.

Biography

Eileen E. Fabyan, age 85, of Bad Axe, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Huron Medical Center in Bad Axe, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 19, 1928 in Bad Axe, daughter of the late George and Susan (Holz) Ney. She married Stephen Fabyan on June 7, 1947 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe. He preceded her in death on December 28, 1993. Eileen was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and enjoyed bingo, fishing, bowling, and playing cards with family and friends. She especially liked spending time with her loving grandchildren. Eileen held a deep love and affection for her family, and her family held the same esteem toward her.
