Funeral Information

Services will be held on Monday, March 1, 2021 at 11 am at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Bad Axe. Officiating will be Rev. Kenneth Lueke. Burial will be in Colfax Cemetery. Friends may call at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe on Sunday, February 28, 2021 from 3-7 pm, or Monday at the church from 10 am until the service time at 11 am. Face Masks are required. Family of the Deceased

Elaine is survived by five sons- Steven (Diane) Errer of Filion, Charles Errer of Sand Point, Donald (Karen) Errer of Bad Axe, Douglas “Crunch” (Patricia) Errer of Bad Axe, and Dennis (Penny) Errer of Bad Axe. Two brothers- Leon (Leil) Elftman of Pinconning and Clark Elftman Pigeon, Two sister-in-laws Dorothy Collison and Deloris Elftman of Pigeon, fourteen grandchildren. Fifteen great-grandchildren. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ray, and one grandson, Christopher Raymond Errer. sisters Marian Freeland and LuAnn Jarvis, brother Loren Elftman, brother and sister in laws, Richard Freeland, Richard Jarvis, Alvin Errer, Maxine Errer Wing, and Loren Collison.

Biography

Elaine L. Errer, age 91, of Bad Axe passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021 at Courtney Manor Nursing Facility in Bad Axe. Elaine was born July 28, 1929 in Brookfield Twp., the daughter of the late Charles and Minnie (Schweitzer) Elftman. Elaine graduated from Pigeon High School in 1947. She married Raymond Errer on October 2, 1948 at St. John Lutheran Church in Berne. Elaine was a life-long resident of Huron County. She was a member of the Altar Guild, and Women’s League at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Bad Axe. Elaine was the Colfax Township Deputy Clerk for over thirty years. She was a member of the Farm Bureau, and a Huron County 4-H leader for over 40 years. Elaine especially enjoyed spending time with family and greeting customers at the Greenhouse and Produce Stand.
