Funeral services will be 11:00am Tuesday, January 18th at Cross Lutheran Church with Rev. Glenn Sokolowski officiating. Burial will be in Cross Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour before the service in church. Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to Cross Lutheran Church, Thumb Animal Shelter or Huron County Nature Center.

Eunice is survived by her children Sandra (Fred) Haley of Elkton, Linda Collings of Bad Axe, Fred Richmond of Bay Port, Doug (Michelle) Richmond of Pigeon, and Brenda (Jeff) Koehn of Harbor Beach; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; sisters Bea (Will) Marsh and Alice Bennett; sisters-in-law Nancy Schuette and Donna Schuette. She was preceded in death by her parents Frances (Loeffler) and Albert Schuette, brothers Elmer and Clare Schuette, sister Gert Crump and brothers-in-law Ben Crump and Gene Bennett, son-in-law Mel Collings, grandson Stephen Richmond, and great-granddaughter Brianna Collings.

Biography

Eunice Marie Richmond, 89, of Bay Port passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at home under hospice care. Eunice was born February 18, 1932 at home in Sebewaing. She married Frederick J. Richmond on October 14, 1950 at Cross Lutheran Church; he preceded her in death February 3, 1995. Eunice took great pride in her home and the farm. She loved canning, gardening, and her beautiful flower beds. Eunice loved and cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Animals had a very special place in her heart.
