A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd at 11 am at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Kinde. A gathering will be from 10 am – 11 am at the church. Memorials may be offered to the Family Discretionary Fund. Condolences can be shared at www.macalpinefuneralhome.com

Genevieve is survived by her husband Robert of 47 years; sons Michael (Treasa) Burkett of Kinde, Timothy Burkett and Shanda Brown of Kinde; daughter Annemarie (Daniel) Sokalski of Port Hope; sisters Virginia (Larry) Ziehm of Gagetown, Betty (Gary) Lesosky of St. Helen, Nancy (Merrit) Ligrow of Elkton, Josephine (David) Rivard of Pigeon, and Patsy (Don) Hurren of Pigeon; brothers Donald (Luanne) Lesoski of Caro, Robert Lesoski of Bay Port and Ronald (Connie) Lesoski of Sebewaing. She also is survived by ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by: son William Eugene Burkett, and brothers David, Richard, and Bernard Jr. Lesoski.

Biography

Genevieve Ann Burkett, 66, of Kinde, MI passed away at McLaren Bay Region Hospital in Bay City. MI on July 17, 2014. Genevieve was born on July 16, 1948 in Pigeon, MI to the late Bernard and Rosella (Balasz) Lesoski. She married Robert Burkett April 15, 1967. Genevieve loved watching the Red Wings, Tigers and Days of Our Lives. She enjoyed doing puzzles, playing card games, and scratching lotto tickets.
