Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Bad Axe on Thursday, April 25, at 11:00 am Rev. Jay Barsaleau will officiate with burial at the Colfax Cemetery. Arrangements by the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday at the church from 10:00 am until the time of teh service at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, those considering expressions of sympathy may wish to consider First Baptist Church of Bad Axe or Hospice Advantage.
He is survived by one son James (Carol) Clark of Howell and one daughter Nancy (James) Lewis of Saginaw. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, 7 sisters, 2 brothers and one great granddaughter.
John Clark, age 96 of Bad Axe passed away at the Huron County Medical Care Facility, Bad Axe on Saturday, April 20, 2013 John was born June 6, 1916 in Bad Axe, the youngest of 10 childern of William and Alice Clark. He took over his father's farm early in his life and farmed for 25 years. On February 22, 1941, John married Bessie Martin. They were married 67 years, until her death in 2008. In January, 1966, John purchased the Pangborn Home and Auto Supply jointly with Bud Yageman, selling his life of the partnership in 1968. He was later employed by S & H Farm Supply, managing the tire department. John retired in 1978. After 12 years of retirement, John became a part-time greeter at the Bad Axe K-Mart. In 1993 he was selected as their Associate of the Year. John was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Bad Axe.
