Funeral Information

Funeral Services for Lillian will be Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 11 am at Zion Lutheran Church of Harbor Beach, with Rev. Greg Eilers officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Falls Cemetery. Visitation for Lillian will be on Friday, November 22, 2013 from 2-9pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Visitation on Saturday will be at the church beginning at 10 am until time of services at 11 am. A scripture service will take place on Friday at 7:30 pm at the funeral home.

She is survived by her children: Marjory Grekowicz and her husband James of Macomb, Karen Maschke and her husband Bruce Schwerin of Oxford, Dennis Karg and his wife Marcia of Harbor Beach, and Julie Lidster and her husband Jeff of Sarasota, FL, 11 Grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren, brother Ronald Engel of Arlington, TX, and sister-in-law Ada Karg of Harbor Beach. Lillian was preceded in death by her son Ronald Karg, grandson Michael Grekowicz, and two brothers: William and George Engel.

Biography

Lillian L. Karg, age 94 of Harbor Beach, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Huron Medical Center of Bad Axe. She was born on May 8, 1919 in Port Hope to the late Fred and Margaret (Kaufman) Engel. Lillian was baptized on June 1, 1919 by Rev. Emil Burner at Port Hope Lutheran Church, and was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Harbor Beach on May 20, 1934 by Rev. A.C. Neuchterlein. She and Lawrence Karg were united in marriage on May 15, 1937 at Zion Lutheran Church by Rev. A.C. Neuchterlein. He preceded her in death on June 9, 2000. Lillian was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Harbor Beach, the Ladies Aide, and Farm Bureau. She enjoyed working on the Farm, Gardening, jigsaw puzzles, bingo, and spending time with her family.
