A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 11 am. at Good Shepherd Parish-St. John Catholic Church in Ubly. Friends may call at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe on Thursday from 2-8 pm., or Friday at the church from 10 am. until the service time at 11 am. A combined Daughters of Isabella and Christian Mothers rosary will be offered on Thursday at 4 pm. at the funeral home and a scripture service will be held on Thursday at 7:30 pm. at the funeral home. Biography

Lois May Talaski, age 92, of Ubly, passed away on Tuesday July 28, 2015, at home with her family. Lois was born on May 31, 1923 in Cherokee, Iowa to Wilbur and Minnie (Oswald) Conley. She married Leo Talaski on September 21, 1946 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Freiburg. Leo passed away May 31, 1994.Lois enjoyed bingo, spending time with her children and the Detroit Tigers. She was a member of Christian Mothers and Daughters of Isabella. When she was younger she quilted for her family. During World War II, Lois was one of the “Rosie the Riveter” women. She also worked at Deckerville Dye Form for 22 years.
