Funeral Information

Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2015 in Our Lady Consolata Parish, St. Pancratius Catholic Church with Rev. Christian Tabares officiating. Interment will be in St. John the Evangelist Cemetery, Ubly. Pallbearers for Mrs. Osentoski are her grandsons. Memorials may be made to Bluewater Thumb Youth For Christ. Family and friends may share memories, prayers and stories with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com. Visitation from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday, May 25, 2015 at Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at St. Pancratius Catholic Church, Cass City.

Marie is survived by her children: David (Barbara) Osentoski of Caro, Marty (Connie) Osentoski of Cass City, Ken (friend Kindra) Osentoski, of Cass City; grandchildren: Tavis (Carrie) Osentoski, Rory Osentoski, Blair (friend Emily) Osentoski, Evan (friend Lisa) Osentoski, Danielle (friend Michael) Osentoski, Christopher (Daniell) Osentoski, Whitney Osentoski, Brice (friend Melissa) Osentoski, Gia (Joel) Gremel, Kara (Jeff) Grove; great grandchildren: Collin, Haven, Elijah, Seth, Cole, Jamison, Donavan, Landynn, Shay, Lauren, Lia; great great grandchild, Fayt; many nieces and nephews; and her extended family at Northwood Meadows. She was preceded in death by her sister, Rosemary Patera.

Biography

Marie A. Osentoski, 86, of Cass City, died Friday, May 22, 2015 in Northwood Meadows Medical Care Unit, Cass City. She was born November 15, 1928 in Spiritwood, Saskatchewan, Canada to Louis A. and Corinne (LeBlance) Creguer. She married Ira P. Osentoski May 28, 1948 in St. Pancratius Catholic Church, Cass City. He died April 19, 1994. Marie was raised in Saskatchewan, Canada and moved to Gagetown with her family when she was 18. Her first jobs included Freiberger's Grocery Store and then Little's Funeral Home until her marriage. Marie actively supported Ira in Osentoski Auctioneering, clerking every auction. Marie was a Real Estate Broker for many years working with her sons in Osentoski Realty until her retirement in 1999. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens and watching the birds, especially the cardinals. Marie loved cats, especially her Siamese cats. Marie enjoyed traveling including many trips to the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, Hawaii, several visits to Branson, Missouri and her favorite trip, a cruise on the St. Lawrence River.
