Funeral Information

Funeral for Mark Osentoski will be Wednesday at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Church of the Annunciation of the Lord Parish, Kinde. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 pm and on Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 am at the Knoblock Funeral Home, Kinde. There will be a Rosary on Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Bernice; his loving children, Jean Osentoski of Mt Clemens, Joan Peters of Bad Axe, Jane Osentoski of Kinde, Jill Osentoski of Caseville, Julie (Ken) Kubacki of Ubly and John Osentoski of Filion; his grandchildren, Mandy (Rick) Tetreau, Corey Peters, Katelyn Peters and Ashley Kubacki; his great-grandchildren, Dylan Bairski-Peters and Beaux Fritz; his step-grandchildren, Tyler and Josh Kubacki. He is also survived by two sisters, Delores (Jim) Stacer and Ilene (Ted) Narring; his sister-in-law Grace Goretski, brother-in-law Jerry (Sue) Lasceski and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Kociba, three brothers, Curtis, Cletus and Leonard Osentoski, his in-laws, Marie Osentoski, Frances Osentoski, Herman Kociba, Ben and Florence Lasceski, John and Barb Lasceski, and Ernie Goretski.

Biography

Mark Osentoski, 88, of Kinde passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2015. He was born May 6, 1927 the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Swartz) Osentoski. He and Bernice Lasceski were married in St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Kinde on November 11, 1961. He worked on road construction until 1972 and then worked at Brade Ready Mix until he retired. Mark was a member of the Happy Bunch Card Club for many years. He was also a former member of the Ubly Fox Hunters Club. He loved driving his John Deere lawn mower, mowing the grass, and cleaning snow. He also liked listening to music, working in his garden, hunting, ice fishing, smoking fish and going out to eat. Mark also enjoyed playing cards with family and friends
