Visitation will be Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 3-8pm. The service will be Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am. Burial will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Sebewaing. Memorial donations may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church (General Fund or Organ Fund). The hardest part wasn’t losing you; it will be learning to live without you. Maryann is survived by her three children: Debra (Mark) Krauss, Janet (William) Warack, and David (Jill) Haag; sister, Kayleen (Jack) Kohtz; brothers: John (Edna) Kotenko and Mike (Sandy) Kotenko; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard.

Biography

Maryann Haag, age 77, of Sebewaing, passed away August 23, 2015, surrounded by her family. Maryann was born November 21, 1937 to the late John and Mary (Klimkowski) Kotenko. On December 15, 1956, she married Richard E. Haag, and had three children. Maryann was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. She belonged to the Ladies Aid and volunteered her time for many other church events. She loved the outdoors, including fishing, gardening, and caring for her birds. However, she mostly enjoyed sharing a cup of coffee with friends and family. She was a “mom” or “grandma” to so many children through the years. She always saw the good in people and she will be remembered for her gentle, kind, and loving ways.
