Funeral service for Michael will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at the MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe with Pastor Philip Tousley officiating. Burial will take place at Verona Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. on Monday, November 13, 2017 at the MacAlpine Funeral Home and on Tuesday, from 10 a.m. until time of service. Family of the Deceased

Michael is survived by his brother, Dennis Stanton and his wife, Kyle, of Athens, Michigan; his nieces, Amy Stanton and Amanda (Dave) Snyder; two grand-nephews, Andrew and Zachary Snyder; and his girlfriend, Dee Gusa of Bad Axe and his dogs, Heidi and Gege. He was preceded in death by his sister, Pam Stanton and his brothers, Rick & Phil Stanton.

Biography

Michael Ray Stanton, 55, of Bad Axe, passed away on November 9, 2017. He was born in Bad Axe on February 3, 1962 to the late Carl and Lillian (Edwards) Stanton. Mike graduated from Bad Axe High School in 1980. He worked at the family business, Thumb Glass for over thirty years. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting deer and pheasants, fishing, and raising chickens. He was a true outdoorsman. Michael donated a lot of his time and service to different non-profit organizations like Toys for Tots and at the Huron County Fairgrounds.
