Biography

Patricia “Pat” Palmer, 71, of Ubly, Michigan, received her Angel wings on Thursday, July 2, 2020 surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was staying at her daughter’s house under hospice care. Pat was born March 22, 1949 in Bad Axe, Michigan. She was the daughter of the late Harry Palmer and June Palmer (Schenk) both of Ubly. Pat was a graduate of Ubly High School and a long-term resident of Ubly. For over 20 years she owned and operated Pat’s Restaurant, a staple to the community at that time. She retired and sold the business in 2001. She loved spending time with her family, especially her two grandchildren Brendan and Claire who would spend many summers in Ubly. Oh, the many stories they could share about late night ice cream runs, Tripoley games, Wendy’s chicken nuggets, and having to drive 20 miles to be connected to the internet. She was always there for her nightly phone calls from family. Her life will be remembered as a very private person, but one who protected those she loved, especially her two grandchildren, who were her everything. In return, she was our everything as well. She will be missed greatly.
