Funeral Information

Funeral Services for Bob will be Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 1pm at the St. John Lutheran Church of Port Hope, with Rev. Henry Hales officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery. Visitation for Bob will be on Wednesday, at the church from 10 am until time of services at 1 pm. Arrangements are being handled by the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Family of the Deceased

He is survived by his wife Linda Schave of Port Hope, and children: Greg Schave and his wife Denee of Port Hope, Rhonda King of Port Hope, and Todd Schave and his wife Tammy of Port Hope, 8 grandchildren, and brothers: Ken Schave and his wife Janet of Port Hope, Gary Schave of Port Hope, and sister-in-law Nancy Schave of New York. Bob was preceded in death by a brother Donald Schave and sister-in-law Joyce Schave.

Biography

ROBERT F. SCHAVE, age 74 of Port Hope, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Saginaw, Michigan. He was born on February 15, 1940 in Port Hope to the late Floyd and Frieda (Schubring) Schave. Bob Served in the US Army from 1958 until 1961, serving in the Korean Conflict. He and Linda Breskey were united in marriage on November 2, 1963 in Port Hope. Bob was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Port Hope and a life member of the AmVets of Port Hope. Bob loved running his backhoe, and enjoyed working on crossword puzzles and spending time with family and friends.
