Robert is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Betty) Liedke of 59 years; three daughters and two sons, Dawn (Guy) Bennett, Bridgeport, MI, Tammie (Bill) Holz, Bad Axe, MI, LaDonna Liedke, Bad Axe, MI, Daniel (Eileen) Liedke, Saginaw, MI, William (Julie) Liedke, Fort Gratiot, MI. Thirteen grandchildren, Dr. Matthew (Kimberly) Bennett, Howell, MI, Adam Bennett, Bridgeport, MI, Danielle (Rick) Alvarado, St. Charles, MI, Zachary Liedke, Oahu, Hawaii, Travis (Taylor) Liedke, Berkley, MI, Ashley (Steven) Buska, Jacksonville, FL, Keaton (Amber) Holz, Bad Axe, MI and Kristine Gettel, Bad Axe, MI. Twelve great-grandchildren; Chase and Quinn Bennett; Gracie, Elijah, Abram, and Wesson Alvarado; Memphis, Leah, Natalie, and Beca Buska; Oliver Holz and Connor Gettel. Also surviving, sister, Connie Krueger, brother-in-law William (Judy) Wells and brother-in-law Dale (Lucille) Wells. He is preceded in death by his parents Fred and Nellie Liedke; brothers, Edward and Alfred Liedke, sisters, Phyllis Clark and Evelyn Harris.
Robert Edward Liedke, age 91, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022. Robert was born May 1, 1930 in Port Hope, Michigan to the late Fred and Nellie (Bruce) Liedke. He married Elizabeth Joyce Wells, August 25, 1962 in Harbor Beach, Michigan. Robert (Bob) farmed all his life until he retired and moved to Caseville and later to Bad Axe. He attended the First United Methodist Church in Bad Axe where he was an active member and volunteer. He was a kind, hardworking, loving husband, father, grandfather and greatgrandfather who will be missed by many. He enjoyed working outside in the garden and yard. He and his wife Elizabeth enjoyed traveling, dancing, and spending time with family. Bob was especially talented with carpentry and could make most anything from wood. He also could play the harmonica, accordion & steel guitar, he loved music. He liked fishing and would take great joy in trying to catch the “big one”. He was a humble, patient man, mentor to many, and did many things for others, never desiring anything in return.
