Per Sharon’s wishes, cremation has taken place at Sunset Valley Crematory in Bay City, Michigan. A memorial service will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Cass City on Saturday, April 8, 2017 Memorials may be offered to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Cass City or to the Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe. Sharon is survived by her daughter, Julie Crockran and her husband, Steven, of Detroit; sisters: Jacalyn Guinther and her husband, Gerald, of Gagetown; Judy Wissner of Sebewaing, and Mary Fournier and her husband, Robert, of Sebewaing; brother-in-law: James Ahler and his wife, Loretta, of Croswell; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother in law, Douglas Ahler and her niece, Holly Fournier.

Biography

Sharon K. (Sy) Ahler, 75, of Colfax Township, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2017 at Huron County Medical Care Facility. She was born on October 5, 1941 to the late Alfred and Florence (Hovey) Sy in Unionville, Michigan. Sharon graduated from Owen-Gage High School in 1959. She married Richard L. Ahler on November 11, 1961 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Bach, Michigan. He preceded her in death on November 24, 2012. Sharon worked as a certified nurse aide at the Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe for many years and also at Tendercare in Cass City. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Cass City. Sharon enjoyed knitting, and playing Bingo.
