Shirley is survived by her husband, Ron; children: Sandra (Martin) Hyzer of Caseville, Sally (Marc) Anderson of Lowell, Shari (Kenneth) Schott of Essexville, Scott Geiger of Ingleside, IL; grandchildren: Lori (Kevin) Trost, Daniel Hyzer, Josiah Spencer, Nathaniel Spencer, Ben (Tonya) Schott, Kevin (Cassie) Schott, Ryan Geiger, Megan Geiger; great grandchildren: Elly Hyzer, Zachary Trost, Landyn Schott, Lexi Crase, Dylan Crase, Brenden Schott, Bryleigh Schott; half sister, Dorothy (Dr. Doug) Harvey of Sterling Heights; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; step father, Lloyd Hicks; half sister, Mary Lou Johnston.

Biography

Shirley I. Geiger, 84, of Cass City, died Tuesday, August 18, 2015 in Medilodge (Tendercare), Cass City after a long illness. She was born December 23, 1930 in Deford to Henry and Irma Blanch (Perry) Wells. She married Ronald Vere Geiger August 28, 1948 in Pigeon. Shirley graduated from Cass City High School. She prepared income tax returns for 50 years. Shirley was an active member of EUB and then Salem United Methodist Church which became Cass City United Methodist Church, for many years. She worked on many Christian Programs and was president of UMW for many years. Shirley was Sunday School Secretary for 25 years. She organized several mystery trips.
