Funeral Information

Funeral Services for Wanda will be Friday, July 29, 2016 at 11 am at the St. John Lutheran Church of Port Hope, with Rev. Henry Hales officiating. Burial will follow in the Port Hope Cemetery. Visitation for Wanda will be on Thursday from 2-8pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Visitation on Friday will be at the church beginning at 10 am until time of services at 11 am. A Scripture Service will take place Thursday at 7:30 pm at the funeral home.

Wanda is survived by her husband Orville Gaffke of Port Hope, and children: Clara Gust and her husband Mark of Port Hope, and Karen Asner and her husband Marcus of New York City, 7 grandchildren: Megan Buckley, Chelsea Heldt, Adam Heldt, Morgan Gust, Benjamin Asner, Lucas Asner, Samuel Asner, 2 great grandchildren: Sebastian Coleson, and Anderson Jon Buckley. She was preceded in death by a brother Norman Wallace.

Biography

Wanda Jean Gaffke, age 87 of Port Hope, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Covenant Medical Center of Saginaw. She was born on August 5, 1928 in Browns, IL to the late Lyman and Alatha (Litherland) Wallace. Wanda and Orville Gaffke were united in marriage on January 23, 1965 in Detroit. She was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Port Hope, and was very active in genealogy.
