Services will be held on Monday, September 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bad Axe First Methodist Church. Officiating will be Reverend Phil Tousley, pastor. Burial will be in Colfax Cemetary. Friends may call at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe on Sunday from 1:00 – 8:00 p.m. or Monday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be offered to the Bad Axe First United Methodist Church or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
Survived by: 2 sons – Daniel (Cynthia) Williams of Alvarado, TX. Randy Williams of Bad Axe. 4 daughters – Joanne (Terry) Renn of Pigeon. Connie (Walter) Dubs of Elkton. Jaette (Lance) Rumsey of Bad Axe. Sally (Vince) Pearl of Bad Axe. 2 sisters – Mary Louise Wichert of Frankfort. Marlene Murdock of Bad Axe. 17 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and one great great grandson Predeceased by: 1 son David Williams. 1 sister – Betty Haley. 2 brothers – Harvey Murdock and Bill Murdock.
Wilma Williams of Bad Axe passed away at the age of 92 on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe. She was born on May 2, 1921 in Bad Axe, daughter of George and Mabel (Rapson) Murdock. She married Erwin Williams on April 5, 1941 in the former Colfax United Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on April 1, 2001. Wilma was employed for several years at Dibble’s 5 &10 in Bad Axe. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, ad being active in a variety in a variety of groups at the Bad Axe First United Methodist Church.
