Born to Hunt
The Tom Lounsbury Outdoors campfire has been burning every Sunday on WLEW since 2005. Tom covers everything outdoors, not only in Michigan, but elsewhere as well. He thoroughly enjoys getting to know the people and places which offer unique outdoor pastimes, and sampling matters firsthand in order to share the experience with his listeners. He has also been an outdoors newspaper columnist, as well as writing for other outdoors publications, for the last four decades. Tom is the 4th generation to proudly own the family Centennial farm in Michigan’s Thumb area, which he devotes to various conservation efforts. He has been thoroughly enjoying an active outdoors lifestyle since his early childhood, and believes in passing on the “torch” to the next generation. Tom records his weekly radio shows onsite, usually outdoors, and refers to it as being “reality radio”. He is quite happy with the fact that he has hardly scratched the surface in covering everything outdoors.
